YellowBeaks Window Bird Feeder Review

UPDATE! 

Every since the weather turned cooler I am seeing TONS of birds nibbling in the feeder! seriously, several different birds are taking a quick bite just about every couple minutes. One of my cats just watches in amazement nearly the whole day. They are super quick and it's hard to take a photo but I finally succeeded!

My take:

I always wanted one of these! What a great idea--to see birds up close right at your window. I love that this bird feeder is completely clear--there's not a bad view to be found. It also holds A LOT of birdseed so you won't be filling it every other day. But probably best of all, because it's suspended midair to your window--those pesky squirrels can't get to it--this perch is all for the birds! I can only imagine the excitement my cats are having when they're home alone watching this bird show.

This bird feeder is extremely sturdy. We have had a few vicious storms with very heavy rains and the feeder has not budged. I also noticed that the 3 suction cups on my feeder were much closer together than the picture on the box--you wrestle with it for a few moments but they will all align I promise!

Don't despair if the birds aren't flocking to it immediately, it may take several weeks for birds to discover it. I didn't see any birds after two weeks so I emailed the company for suggestions. The YellowBeaks company was super responsive and offered detailed suggestions on how to jumpstart the birds discovering it--including sprinkling additional birdseed nearby so they can 'follow the trail' and/or initially lowering the feeder closer to the ground. I was very impressed with their friendliness and eagerness to help--bonus points! I still have not personally seen any birds but the birdseed is disappearing so the birds are being quite sneaky and crafty as they carry out their actions!
